Bar Antoine Lounge is now open in San Francisco. Located on the mezzanine level at Bruno Chemel’s Le Parc Bistrobar, the Lounge affords guests the opportunity to enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail from a list of 50+ creations curated by Christie Chemel, plus an extensive selection of Cognacs, Armagnacs, and Madeira wines. The small-bites menu, created by Antoine Chemel (who has worked with his father since he was 11) is distinct from the restaurant downstairs while remaining in the French idiom. With the debut of Bar Antoine Lounge, Le Parc Bistrobar has become the epitome of a small, family-run restaurant that continues to evolve over the generations.

Bar Antoine Lounge, located at 185 Sutter Street, is open Tuesday through Friday from 4:30 to 10:00 PM (hours may expand) and seats about 80 people, with a large bar with room for 30. Call/text (650) 328-8899 or email to [email protected] for more information. The web address is www.barantoine.com and reservations, which are recommended but not required, can be made via ToastTable.

Bar bites menu highlights include Croquettes d’Escargot, Gougères Truffées, and Prime Ribeye Brochettes. Among the winners on the extraordinary cocktail menu are the French Revolution, Studio 54, and Black Manhattan (house-barreled, aged 6+ months).

Le Parc Bistrobar is a bistro in Union Square, nestled within the Galleria Park Hotel. Led by Chef Bruno Chemel, the restaurant offers a refined culinary experience inspired by the timeless spirit of French Cuisine Moderne. The menu pays homage to Chemel’s French heritage and is crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients that bring out rich flavors in every dish. The select wine list is French and California-centric, and classic, contemporary, and original cocktails are poured.

Chef Chemel, best known for his culinary ventures in Palo Alto, brings a rich legacy of gastronomic excellence to Le Parc Bistrobar. In 2010, he and his wife, Christie Chemel, opened Baumé, which earned a Michelin star in less than a year, followed by an extraordinary run of two Michelin stars for nine consecutive years. Their culinary partnership was recognized at the highest level when the Michelin Guide named them a “Power Couple” in 2019.

Le Parc Bistrobar is located at 185 Sutter Street in San Francisco and serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Valet parking is available via the Galleria Park Hotel, there are two nearby public garages, and evening street spots are sometimes an option. The restaurant telephone number is (415) 394-0501 and the website is www.leparcbistrobar.com.
