Coffee and sweet treats are coming to the shopping center on the outskirts of Metro Detroit.
The team at NT Nail Lounge at 2823 E Highland Road is hoping to add to their location with a new cafe at the space. This is being teased by owner Nam Nguyen on social media, and his business is right next to the popular Highland Square Garden. Nguyen told What Now Detroit he is hoping to open the new addition around April or May next year.
Nguyen manages two NT Nail Lounge locations, the other in Commerce Township at 4853 Carroll Lake Road. He specializes in manicures, pedicures, dip powder, acrylic and gel-x services at his locations. This is his first venture into the restaurant business.
While a menu has not been released, a recent post from Nguyen promises coffee, ice cream, matcha and snacks. The hours of operation have also not been released as the space as the contract for the location has just been signed.
The nail salon is at the northwest corner of the E Highland -Duck Lake roads intersection. Other businesses at the plaza include Bad Benny’s Pour House and a Walgreens. This is a fairly residential area of Highland, with most restaurants and retail at this intersection.
As it gets closer to the opening date, Nguyen and the team will be updating the community on the new cafe.
