A fast-casual chicken finger joint is getting ready to add another Greater Boston location to its portfolio.

Frangos Chicken Fingers is opening its first drive-thru location at 450 Broadway in Methuen, according to a recent social media announcement from the business. The new location will mark the third Frangos outpost, joining existing restaurants in Wilmington and North Billerica.

“We’re especially excited about Methuen because it will be our first location with a drive-thru, which is a big next step for the brand,” a Frangos representative told What Now Boston. “We’re also taking the opportunity with this location to continue evolving the Frangos experience and design while keeping the food and identity our customers already know us for.”

Founded by CEO Ahmed Hmina in 2023, Frangos got its start as a ghost kitchen before evolving into a fast-casual brick-and-mortar restaurant. At the heart of the menu are Frangos’ crispy, hand-breaded chicken fingers, which can be ordered several ways. Guests can keep things simple with plain chicken fingers or turn them into sandwiches on toasted slider buns or wraps. Combo meals come with a selection of sides and extras, including fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, a choice of dipping sauce, and a fountain drink.

Beyond its signature chicken, the menu also includes grilled cheese sandwiches, Texas toast, and Frangos Fries, which are topped with signature chicken fingers, drizzled with Frangos Sauce, and finished with fresh chives. The restaurant also serves fresh-squeezed lemonades, iced tea, and other beverages.

Community involvement is an important part of the brand’s identity, with Frangos supporting local sports clubs while emphasizing quality, customer service, and connections with the communities surrounding its restaurants.

According to permits recently filed with the city, Frangos has signed a 10-year lease for the space, with an option to extend the lease for an additional four to five years. The restaurant will occupy approximately 3,477 square feet of grade-level space, along with another roughly 2,000 square feet of unfinished mezzanine space.

The Methuen location is currently in the buildout phase, according to the representative. The business is targeting an opening in late 2026 or early 2027, with the exact timing dependent on construction. Stay tuned for official grand opening updates.
