Locals are curious about a different kind of bar and grill moving into a long-vacant building.
Afterlife Bar and Grill is a new project coming to 3601 W Diversey Avenue in the neighborhood, per a report from Block Club Chicago. This is being introduced by James and Valerie Spyropoulos, local business owners and real estate agents in the area. James told What Now Chicago he is hoping to open the location sometime next year.
While a menu has not been released, those drinking and dining can expect beer on tap, cocktails, along with burgers and wings, from the Block Club report. The building is large enough for a full dining area and a kitchen, as it wraps around the corner of N Central Park Avenue. Above the restaurant, apartments will still be used.
The former funeral home is at the southwest intersection of W Diversey and N Central Park avenues. Little Clown Pizza is at the northeast side of the intersection. The center of Logan Square and the CTA Blue Line stop is a few blocks from the storefront.
The team has not yet set up a social media or website for the new bar and grill, but they will be releasing more updates on the opening in the coming weeks.
