Lowe’s is expanding its Northern Colorado footprint with a new store now under construction at Silverstone Marketplace in Frederick.
The home improvement retailer broke ground on the project August 13 alongside Town of Frederick officials, development partners and community representatives, according to the Town of Frederick. The new store is planned to span approximately 95,000 square feet and will include a 30,000-square-foot outdoor garden area. The Town anticipates the store will open in summer 2027.
The new Lowe’s will be located at 5701 Silverstone Drive, adding another major retailer to the growing Silverstone Marketplace development near Colorado Boulevard and Highway 52.
Once open, the store is expected to create approximately 150 local jobs, according to the Town. Lowe’s has also expressed plans to become involved in the Frederick community through volunteer efforts, improvement projects and support for local nonprofits.
Lowe’s is a home improvement retailer offering products for construction, renovation, maintenance and everyday home projects. Its stores carry building supplies, hardware, tools, appliances, paint, flooring, plumbing products and lawn and garden items, among other merchandise.
The Frederick store will add to the growing mix of businesses at Silverstone Marketplace. The development has already attracted a number of retailers and restaurants, including a King Soopers that anchors the center. For Lowe’s, the Frederick project adds another Colorado location to a statewide network that already includes stores in communities such as Brighton, Erie, Fort Collins, Longmont, Loveland, Northglenn and Westminster.
Construction is now underway at Silverstone Marketplace, with the new Lowe’s currently expected to open in summer 2027.
