Manhattan’s Times Square is set to welcome a new burger joint this fall.
BurgerX, owned by Jitesh Magnani, will open at 360 W. 42nd St. between W. 41st and W. 42nd St. near Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Magnani told What Now New York City the concept behind BurgerX was brought to life by his wife, Sneha, who played a hands-on role in every stage, from shaping the original vision to developing the menu and bringing it to life. The restaurant focuses on quality ingredients, with everything made in-house daily.
“I’m excited to sell good food to people,” he said.
BurgerX will start the day with breakfast, offering a classic egg sandwich with real butter, chives and house sauce on a brioche bun, as well as potato salad and egg salad sandwiches.
“We pair pillowy-soft Japanese milk bread with our own beautiful house sauce and perfectly cooked eggs—a combination that turns an ordinary breakfast into something worth getting out of bed for,” Magnani said.
The star of the menu will be smash burgers, available with one or two patties and served with the shop’s signature sauce. The menu will also feature chicken and veggie burgers, alongside fresh-cut fries to round out the meal.
“We didn’t rush this. It took years of testing to land on the exact combination behind our smash burger patty—chasing the perfect trifecta of bold flavor, meaty tenderness, and supreme juiciness in every single bite. The result is a burger that stands apart from everything else out there, without the price tag you’d expect from something this good,” he said.
To complement the fare, BurgerX has been approved for a liquor license to serve beer.
The space will primarily cater to takeout, with four seats available inside for guests who want to sit and enjoy their meal.
BurgerX is targeting a mid-October opening. Once open, the shop will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., with alcoholic beverages available for purchase starting at 8 a.m.
