Trader Joe’s fans rejoice: The grocery chain is opening another store in metro Atlanta.
The popular grocer has signed a lease at Chastain Market, according to leasing information reviewed by What Now Atlanta. The store will occupy 14,800 square feet at the shopping center. The space was formerly occupied by Sprouts Farmers Market.
This will be Georgia’s eighth Trader Joe’s, which can also be found in Buckhead, Midtown, Sandy Springs, Marietta, Roswell, Norcross and Athens.
The company website indicates that the new location, dubbed “Sandy Springs (South),” is “Coming Soon.”
“Our Crew is working hard so we can open our doors in 2024,” it says.
Trader Joe’s will occupy the space beginning in August 2024, according to the leasing documents. The space had been on the market since March 2023. Coro Realty Advisors LLC and Spruce Street Partners represented the landlord in the deal.
Trader Joe’s began in Pasadena, California, in 1967. The store is known for its unique products, low prices and quirky branding. There are more than 540 locations across the U.S.
I don’t consider Alpharetta as metro Atlanta.
