Parsons Alley next year will be home to Falling Rabbit, a new restaurant from Chicago Chef Chuck Woods.

Falling Rabbit will feature a “contemporary seasonal menu with a whimsical approach” in the Duluth development, at 3580 W Lawrenceville Street.

“We’ve pushed ourselves to think outside of the box and bring a fresh perspective to the area,” Woods told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an interview.

Studio SOGO is behind the restaurant’s design.

“We wanted to come up with a design that reflected both the refined pallet of Chef Woods’ menu and the whimsy of the childhood poem that was the impetus of the restaurant’s name,” Leslie Ellsworth, the lead architect on the project, told WNA.

“At first glance, the space is a classic mix of art nouveau and mod lines; moody, and low-lit. As you explore, however, patrons will discover some unexpected and even fanciful twists in decor, letting you know that Falling Rabbit has class without taking itself too seriously.”

Falling Rabbit should open in the “early months of 2020.”

“We saw the parsonage building at {Parsons Alley} and fell in love, but downtown Duluth is what sealed the deal,” Woods said.

“There’s a strong sense of community that really spoke to us.”

Falling Rabbit is the latest concept announced for Parsons Alley.

Sweet Octopus will serve a variety of Asian fare in the Duluth development starting later this year.
