According to public filings, Little Red Barn Stand, a local market and bakery concept that has operated as a pop-up stand in the Burnet area, may soon settle into a permanent brick-and-mortar location as Little Red Barn Market. The concept could remodel an existing 912-square-foot building at 103 S. Silver Street in downtown Burnet to accommodate a new market and bakery space.

Construction is expected to begin on July 1 and could wrap up by October 31, according to public filings. The address has previously been home to small retail businesses along one of Burnet’s most walkable commercial corridors.

The concept appears connected to a self-serve outdoor stand that Sarah Files started from her garage along with a group of neighbor partners, according to a recent report by the Daily Tribune. The team has kept the stand stocked with cinnamon rolls, brownies, mini key lime pies, cake pops, quiches, frittatas, and gluten-free almond bars, among other baked goods.

What Now Dallas reached out to Sarah Files, project tenant and manager for Little Red Barn Market, but did not receive a response by press time.

If the project moves forward, the South Silver Street location could add a new independent food and retail destination to Burnet’s downtown core, a small but vibrant commercial district that has attracted a mix of antique shops, local boutiques, and specialty businesses in recent years.
