According to recent public records, the Employees Retirement System of Texas building at 1836 San Jacinto Blvd will soon be adding an in-house food & beverage establishment.

Titled “ERS Cafe”, construction notes state that “The scope of work includes the tenant finish out of an existing shell space to include, but not limited to, food service equipment and layout, interior architecture and design, and MEP design. Scope includes designing to base building tenant standard.”

Estimated at around $750,000, the project is expected to wrap up by November.

Representatives for the ERS were not immediately available to comment on the establishment’s potential offerings and opening timeframes.
