Founded in the Northeast, delivery- and pickup-based “food hall” Wonder is preparing for big—actually, bigger than big—moves in Texas. According to coverage by CSA, Wonder is planning to open more than 100 locations in the state by the end of 2027.

The metro areas slated for new Wonder locations include Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

“Currently, Wonder operates more than 100 locations across nine states, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts, as well as in Washington D.C.,” the coverage says. “The company says it remains on pace to surpass more than 200 storefronts by year’s end.”

Further coverage published by What Now Dallas described plans for a new location in Plano back in March.

“Diners have embraced Wonder’s eclectic approach to fast-casual dining,” the coverage said. “The food hall collects various concepts from celebrity partners under one roof and invites guests to order from as many as they’d like. Food is then made to order and aggregated on one bill, ensuring every member of a party can enjoy whatever they’d like.”

Founded by former Walmart executive Mark Lore, Wonder is going in big on a concept that brings together fast-paced food with a tech-forward approach—a food-hall and delivery app rolled into one.

“We’re excited to enter Texas and introduce more people to what makes Wonder unique — chef-crafted menus, unmatched variety, and seamless convenience,” Tony Hoggett, CEO of Wonder North America, said in a press release cited in an article by CultureMap Austin. “Texas’ dynamic food culture, population growth, and suburban footprint align closely with our delivery-first model.”

Wonder’s restaurants include Mediterranean concept Yasa by Michael Symon, Alanza Pizza, Thai restaurant Sripraphai, Burger Baby, and lots—lots—more.
