A small Mexican chain is expanding its footprint with a new location.

According to the eatery’s website, Tenoch Mexican is “coming soon” to 83 Mt Auburn St in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, taking over the space formerly occupied by Las Palmas.

Currently, Tenoch operates six locations in Boston’s North End, East Cambridge, Medford Square, Somerville’s Davis Square, Malden, and Melrose, as well as a popular torta truck. The menu features classic Mexican dishes such as pozole, tortas, tacos, burritos, tostadas, and enchiladas.

In addition to Tenoch, brothers Alvaro and Andrés Sandoval own El Tacuba, which opened last fall in Medford Square and celebrates Veracruz-style home cooking.

An opening date for the new Tenoch Mexican location has not yet been announced. What Now Boston has reached out to the Sandovals and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
