A new Latin-inspired restaurant is set to spice up Surfside Beach.

Chico’s Chickens, billed as the “best chicken on the Grand Strand,” will debut at 320 U.S. 17.

The concept began as a pop-up in 2022 and now moves into a brick-and-mortar space serving classic Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken, according to its Instagram page.

Patrons can’t miss the restaurant. Fine Art Murals artist Sofia Law painted the “Chico’s Chickens” signage on the exterior freehand, layering it with gold metallic paint that shifts in the sunlight.

The chicken spot is eager to welcome guests.

“We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome you all,” a post read.

An official opening date has not been announced. The restaurant responded to an Instagram comment, writing, “We’ll be opening soon. Stay tuned…” It is also hiring for all positions.
