According to a recent leasing agreement, Peanut Butter Pig will soon open its doors in Antioch at 422-424 Orchard Street.

A representative of Peanut Butter Pig was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date for the Antioch location has yet to be released, according to the company website, Peanut Butter Pig currently has a location in Lake Zurich.

The website goes on to state, “The Peanut Butter Pig emerged from a family food tradition of making chocolates. Since the early 1920’s the Sisinni family had made chocolates in Italy and then carried that tradition to Ohio.”

“While traditional “buckeyes” were popular in Ohio, the Sisinni peanut butter balls were unique, tasty, and very popular. These peanut butter balls were made with crunchy handmade peanut butter, fresh graham crackers, coconut, and other ingredients.”

“In 2016, the Chicago Cubs played in the World Series against the Cleveland Indians. This was a big rival game in the house and the family held a World Series party. It was then that Pig Candy Bacon was offered to guests and after that many requested the treat for events and neighborhood parties. The treat was such a hit, friends and family encouraged that Pig Bacon Candy be sold so others could enjoy.”

“The Peanut Butter Pig is located in a commercial kitchen in Lake Zurich, IL. Here you can meet the PBP team and even pick up some bacon candy treats to-go. Find us at craft breweries, festivals, restaurants, local gourmet shops, and online. Try some bacon candy today and we think you’ll be hooked!”
