SoFive Soccer, an indoor soccer facility with on-site dining options, is opening a new location in Back of the Yards at 3900 S Ashland Ave.

The company’s second Chicago facility will be in partnership with La Pershing and Razzmattaz, according to a recent liquor license application. CEO and Co-founder Charles Lagayette confirms with What Now Chicago that the new location is expected to open sometime this summer. He says the new site will be similar to the city’s first location at 2343 S. Throop, featuring top-quality fields, video technology, a viewing lounge, a bar & café, and free on-site parking.

Founded in 2013, SoFive currently operates in six states with ten locations. Not all sites offer food options, but those that do have a variety of options to satisfy an appetite. The Meadowlands location offers empanadas, pizza, tacos, nachos, chips, and more. The soccer facility also offers breakfast options, including bagels, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches. To drink, the cafe will have soft drink options, as well as beers available in draft, a bottle, and a pitcher.

Razzmatazz currently operates at the site, along with its sister concepts Chicago Indoor Sports and R39 Grill. The 90,000-square-foot site opened in 2015 as a premier indoor sports facility with options for the whole family. It’s unclear how these pre-existing concepts will merge with SoFive. If anything, the company will bring a fresh new twist to the already exciting entertainment facility.
