As part of the hotel’s property-wide renovation, the Waldorf Astoria Chicago has opened three new restaurants and bars within its Gold Coast property, located at 11 E Walton St.

The hotel has completed a massive renovation that includes updates to the guest’s rooms and spa. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago will continue to expand with three new bars and restaurants. The hotel has opened the Brass Tack restaurant, which “features a strong focus on an approachable touch to Midwest sourced American cuisine,” according to Chicago Business Journal. What’s more exciting is the hotel is planning to reopen Bernard’s Bar after closing 13 years ago.

“Bernard’s will re-emerge in its former space with a design rooted in rich, dark colors, classic forms, tweeds from the Scottish Highlands, and equestrian influences,” the hotel said in a statement.

Finally, the hotel will open the Peacock Lounge on the lobby level. The newest addition will serve as a tribute to the original Peacock at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The new lounge will “serve as a central relaxation space for guests, with a design steeped in rich, dark colors with beautiful furnishings, a black-and-white marble fireplace, and collective books inspired by the Gold Coast and Chicago,” the hotel said.

All three of these restaurants and bars, which are already open, is run by executive chef Nicholas Marino, who “continues to cultivate partnerships with local purveyors to source local ingredients, tapping farmers, growers and producers that draw upon his relationships with the likes of Slagel Family Farms in Central Illinois and Berkwood Farms from Des Moines, Iowa.”
