The northern suburb is seeing new development this year.
Owner of the boutique business Amy DeGrazio is getting her new location ready at 1775 Glenview Road this year, from a recent realty listing. The store will open next to a new Marigold location. DeGrazio told What Now Chicago she is aiming for a February opening date.
Edie comes from humble beginnings in Lake Geneva in 2015. Named after DeGrazio’s grandmother, the team continued to expand the brand to locations including Park Ridge, Libertyville, Elmhurst and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This will be their 14th store in the U.S.
Those shopping at one of the stores will mainly find women’s clothing, beauty items, home goods and wedding options. Women’s clothing items include short sleeve sweaters, cardigans, dresses and jeans. The new location will not have many items, following the trend of their other stores throughout Chicagoland.
“We’re pretty consistent with our formula,” DeGrazio said.
The store will be on the south side of Glenview Road, at the same building as a local dentist office. Other businesses nearby at the intersection include Cenzina Originals bridal shop, b. Salon Collective and Hooked By Beth Permanent Jewelry.
DeGrazio said this is part of a rehabilitation project for downtown Glenview, and the Marigold will open alongside Edie. As it gets closer to the opening, the Edie team will be releasing more information on social media pages including Facebook.
