Lazy Dog, a 20-year-old modern American concept, is expanding to the Castle Rock area, the company’s website shows. The restaurant will begin serving patrons next year at the 5949 Alpine Vista Circle location.

Data from Construction Journal shows the project consists of constructing a 9,140-square-foot space, for which a site development plan was approved in June. It is a $3,000,000 contractor job, estimates state.

The one-story building will have a bar and outdoor dining options. It is located in the Promenade at Castle Rock, which is the second-most frequented retail plaza in the state. The town is also Colorado’s fastest-growing city.

Founded in California in 2003, Lazy Dog has expanded to multiple states and grown to a company with annual profits of $383 million. Its founders are also the masterminds behind the popular Mimi’s Cafe chain.
