Prospect Five Points is closing permanently after nearly five years in business. The wine bar and restaurant provided Jacksonville’s Riverside community with a range of food and wine offerings over the years.
Prospect Five Points Set to Bid Adieu
The restaurant announced its closure in a recent Instagram post. Its owners stated that the restaurant was facing a “rough year.” The owners said they explored several options to keep the business operating but were unable to reverse its challenges. A current slow season added to the troubles of the Jacksonville-based establishment.
Customers responded to the announcement in the comments section. One of them inquired regarding its final day of service; Prospect Five Points confirmed that it shut down operations on June 28, 2026.
Others expressed disappointment while also remembering its chicken lollipops, flat breads, cotton candy cheesecakes, and more items.
The owners also noted that a difficult season had left the restaurant operating with a smaller staff. So, if the Riverside community prepares to stop by for the remaining days, they may have to keep patience.
The restaurant also stated it will not disappear quietly from Jacksonville’s dining scene. Guests are invited to attend a farewell event at the restaurant before its final day of service.

Cabaret Show Planned Ahead of Final Service
In a new Instagram post, Prospect Five Points announced it will host a cabaret show on its final day of service, June 28. Seating begins at 6 p.m., with performances scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Visitors at the Five Points location can enjoy six acts by three performers while they relish a select menu and cocktails.
The post adds that tickets have been on sale since Wednesday, June 9. The seating limit is up to 60 people from the Riverside community who are 21 and above.
According to Jacksonville Daily Record, the restaurant was started in the fall of 2020 by Sheree Kentwell and Jon Choomchaiyo.
The building in which the Jacksonville establishment currently sits was earlier the home to several other food and beverage businesses. Since 1921, the building had tenants, including Safe Harbor Seafood and Marah Brewing, O’Brothers Irish Pub, and Five Points Tavern.
With a final planned cabaret show, longtime patrons now have one last chance to revisit the venue that has been part of the Riverside dining scene for almost five years.
