What Now reported back in September on plans for a brand-new bagel concept, Bang’n Bagel Company, to make its debut in Jacksonville—and now, the opening is finally here. Already soft-opened, Bang’n Bagel will celebrate its grand opening tomorrow, May 30, at 13423 Beach Blvd.
Bang’n Bagel is “a funky spot serving scratch-made bagels, epic sandwiches, and good vibes,” says the bagel shop’s website. “Welcome to Bang’n Bagel, where vibrant colors and bold flavors come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Our shop is a lively celebration of the classic bagel, where conversations flow as our team crafts amazing food. Whether you’re craving a simple, perfect bagel or a mouthwatering sandwich, we are dedicated to providing quality products, excellent service, and unparalleled fun. Join us for a coffee, stay for a bagel, and immerse yourself in the playful, pop-art flare that defines our menu.”
The new brand represents a partnership between Mark DeBiase, Augie DeBiase, and Drew Maider, a team with experience operating more than 24 Jersey Mike’s locations in Florida, says coverage by the Jacksonville Daily Record. And according to the Daily Record coverage, this is only the first location. Additional Bang’n Bagel Company locations are in the works in Nocatee and in St. Johns.
“The menu includes New York bagels with freshly made dough rolled, boiled and baked on the premises and served with cream cheese spreads,” says the Daily Record coverage. “Bang’n Bagel serves bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, sides, coffee, drinks and more. Branded T-shirts, caps and tumblers are displayed for sale as well.”
