The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is continuing to expand its footprint throughout the Valley with sights on Las Vegas Strip prime locations. This year, the Mediterranean eatery is opening a location in Centennial Hills at N. Durango and 215, and the Hughes Center on Flamingo & Paradise at 365 Hughes Center Drive.
The plan is to open the Hughes center location first, in May, with a grand opening around Memorial Day weekend. The Centennial Hills location is expected to open by July.
“We love the Hughes Center, and we love the catering opportunities, of course,” The Great Greek owner Nick Della Pena said in an interview with What Now Las Vegas.
“So we think it’s going to open up kind of a different trade area for us than what we’re typically used to.”
The brand recently opened inside the T-Mobile Arena, the beginning of something beautiful for the growing business.
“We definitely wanted somewhat of a strip presence. If you will. And I think that’s what the T-Mobile store kind of gets us some exposure to the strip. It’s anchored by Chipotle and Panera. We have some great co-tenants, and Fatburger just moved in,” Pena said.
“So, with the success of the T-Mobile, we might be looking at more nontraditional spaces, potentially looking in casinos. We’re looking at the A’s stadium. So we’ve knocked on the door over at Harry Reid just to see if there are any options there and in Area 15. We looked at having a presence and getting a spot in the Fashion Show Mall. So, we’re kind of looking at nontraditional now.”
Pena shared that the two upcoming openings would be the 10th and 11th Valley openings for the food brand.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill was founded in Henderson in 2011 by a Greek/Armenian family serving traditional family recipes. In 2016, restaurant industry veterans Penna and Trent Jones purchased the booming location, subsequently franchising it with United Franchise Group to expand nationwide.
The brand now operates The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in 17 states, with more than 50 locations.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is anticipated to open in Centennial Hills at N. Durango and 215 by this July, and at the Hughes Center near the Strip at 365 Hughes Center Drive by May.
