Laidrey Coffee Roasters, the first female start-up roastery cafe in the San Fernando Valley, is preparing to open a new location in Agoura Hills at 5021 Kanan Road.
The company’s third site is set to open in the Shops at Kanan Village, according to signage on the building Conejo Valley Guide first noticed. Owner Gacia Tachejian tells What Now Los Angeles that this location is expected to open in late March or early April. The company can be found in Tarzana at 18600 Ventura Boulevard and Encino at 17034 Ventura Boulevard. When this site opens, customers can expect coffees, baked treats, seasonal toasts, and rotating free monthly events and pop-up shops.
Laidrey Coffee Roasters is a family-owned business that treats its guests like family and takes pride in serving the highest quality specialty coffee worldwide. The company partners with passionate coffee farmers who sustainably harvest their crops and hand-pick each coffee cherry. Year-round, the cafe features seasonal coffees from all over the world to provide the best possible coffee during its most fruitful season. As a result, Laidrey offers certified organic coffees, with each of our coffees roasted in-house by our female owner and operator. The company also provides wholesale and subscription programs.
“This time, we created our bar like a kitchen island so that our guests can come to sit at our kitchen counter and chat with us about their day or take refuge in our space to recharge and start their day off in a refreshed and supported environment,” Tachejian tells What Now Los Angeles. “My son goes to school near this location, and I have gotten to know the city of Agoura, it is so special because it feels like a small town where the community really supports each other. Currently, we have two roasters roasting for Laidrey, Stephanie, and Manny. I still roast myself, but as we have grown, we now have a few other coffee roasters who do an excellent job creating unique and beautiful roast profiles for our carefully curated coffees.”
Laidrey Coffee Roasters sources seasonally from specialty-grade coffee farms. We source coffee from female-led or female-run farms and from farms that provide equitable pay, equal opportunity, and community assistance programs. Our wholesale program is comprehensive and can be customized to your needs. We work with restaurants, coffee shops, hospitality, and local markets. We offer programs for equipment and training, menu development, and beyond.
