Scooter’s Coffee, one of the fast-growing coffee drive-through concepts, is getting ready to expand within the Memphis neighborhoods of Midtown and Hickory Hill and to Olive Branch, Mississippi.
What Now Memphis had previously reported that franchisee Chase Hudson is opening the first Scooter’s Coffee in the area at 3730 Riverdale Rd. Now, the franchise owner is getting ready to open three more locations by the end of the year, according to a press release. While the Olive Branch site is unknown, the Hickory Hill location will be at 3510 Elvis Presley Boulevard, and the Midtown site will be at 1698 Poplar Avenue, according to Commercial Appeal. The Midtown location will move into the former home of CK’s Coffee Shop.
“Scooter’s Coffee continues to open very strong in Tennessee, and I’m looking forward to continuing that momentum,” Hudson said in a press release. “I’m amazed by the passion owners Don and Linda Eckles still have for Scooter’s Coffee and how much they want every franchisee to succeed.”
The Omaha-based coffee company specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and its signature drink, the Caramelicious. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream. Since being founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles, the company has expanded to more than 600 stores across 28 states and has commitments to open in two new states this year, including Mississippi.
“We are proud to have Chase Hudson as part of the Scooter’s Coffee family,” Kelly Crummer, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Recruitment, said in a press release. “As a coffee lover and a business-minded individual, we know Chase will play a huge role in spreading our brand in Tennessee and Mississippi.”
