It looks like a new to-go ice cream shop will soon open in Downtown Arlington.
Arlington’s Cocoa & Creamery is coming to Lofts on the Square, a recently developed upscale property in the heart of the town’s historic Depot Square. The 12040 Forrest St building features three luxury turn-key apartments, commercial offices, and retail space.
Recently filed city permits indicate that the small, 103-square-foot shop will undergo nearly $54,000 in interior alterations, including updates to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to meet operational requirements.
While representatives from Lofts on the Square have not yet responded to requests for comment, the website for the property confirms that the creamery is “coming soon.” Additionally, Cocoa & Creamery’s website is live, with a playful tagline: “Never say no to ice cream.”
