Work is underway on what promises to be one of next year’s most exciting restaurant openings. Station 1856, a new concept from the team behind The Lady May, will be making its debut in Madison, bringing a relaxed atmosphere and great food to the area.

Station 1856 is being erected on Main Street, directly behind the Bridal Path. Construction is actively underway on the restaurant and signage outside of the construction site confirms that the eatery will be opening at some point in 2027.

Station 1856 is focused on creating a straight-forward but delicious dining experience. The website explains: “Station 1856 is the kind of place your old man would’ve taken you after a good day’s work. No pretense. No reservations. Just honest food cooked over open flame, cold drinks that hit right, and the kind of atmosphere where strangers become regulars.”

While the full menu has not yet been revealed, the website offers some tantalizing teases of what Station 1856 will be offering, including hand-cut rib eye, a smash burger, a loaded hot dog, cold beer flights, and a bourbon old-fashioned.
