David Grisanti, local celebrity chef and owner of the now-shuttered David Grisanti’s Italian Restaurant, is set to woo Collierville diners once again with his newest eponymous endeavor, David Grisanti’s on Main, which is due to open its doors later this summer at 148 N Main St, according to media outlet the Daily Memphian.

What Now Memphis was unable to reach Grisanti for comment.

The news comes a mere three months after Grisanti – the youngest in a long line of Memphis-based restaurateurs – closed down his initial Italian eatery due to the terms of a lease agreement.

Nevertheless, having recently purchased the home of his new restaurant, Grisanti told the Daily Memphian that he is aiming to fire up the ovens “within 60 days.”

“That’s what we hope and definitely what we’re trying for,” Grisanti is quoted as saying. “It could be longer, could take up to four months, but we’re going to be working hard.”

The Daily Memphian notes that the new location will have a capacity of 120 people, with space for another 20 in the outdoor patio, a feature that Grisanti seems particularly fond of, telling the paper, “I think my favorite thing is the patio.”
