An exciting new Memphis marketplace is preparing to bring together local art enthusiasts and crafters. Poplar & Payne, “an upscale Vendor Marketplace with treasures from passionate artisans and entrepreneurs”, has signed a lease and is beginning construction with the intention of opening later this year.

Poplar & Payne will be coming to 4934 Poplar Avenue. A June 18 social media post announcing the lease signing offers a hint at what’s in store: “We’re creating more than just a place to shop—we’re building a community. Poplar & Payne will be a carefully curated marketplace featuring local artisans, makers, boutiques, home décor, gifts, specialty vendors, classes, events, featured artists, and so much more.”

The concept is currently actively recruiting vendors and artisans to fill the space. Interested parties can inquire after space by filling out this form.

Poplar & Payne does not yet have a specific opening date, however it is on track to be customer ready this autumn, when customers will be able to enjoy its ultimate objective: “Our goal is to create a destination where people can discover unique treasures, support small businesses, meet friends, learn something new, and experience something different every time they visit.”
