With locations in states as far-flung as California and Florida, as well as in Midwestern states like Illinois and Indiana, Byrd’s Hot Chicken is now serving up its Nashville-style hot chicken in a total of nine stores. One of these is the brand’s first Florida location, which has opened in Boynton Beach, at 1313 W Boynton Beach Blvd, Suite 4.

There’s more Byrd’s in store for South Florida, too, as the brand’s local franchisee has recently submitted plans for a new location in Pembroke Pines, where a new Byrd’s Hot Chicken is working to open at 9610 Pines Blvd.

The Byrd’s menu features favorites like the hot chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and the Byrd Bomb (juicy diced chicken tenders, cheese, slaw, 24k sauce, and pickles served on a bed of fries and toast). The chain’s hot chicken is served with varying spice levels—Mild, Medium, Hot, and Supahot. There are also, wings, nuggets, a plant-based sandwich called the Rebel, and the Chick N’ Donut: hot chicken with pickles on a glazed donut.

There’s no definite opening date for the Pembroke Pines location, but a representative told What Now on Monday that the plan is to open sometime in Q1 2025. The representative said that additional locations, including both brick-and-mortar chicken shops and food trucks, are currently in the works.
