Pave it Forward Logistics, based in Lebanon, Tennessee, filed a WARN notice on April 15. The notice was submitted to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
Pave it Forward Logistics Closed Permanently
According to the WARN notice, Pave it Forward Logistics closed its facility at 1000 Richard Petty Way, Lebanon, TN 37090, on March 31. The company closed its facility suddenly, offering no severance or support to employees, according to a local news report by Fox 17. The closure resulted in 100 layoffs, and the company notified the Dislocated Worker Unit on April 2, 2026.
The filing states that the Northern Middle Local Workforce Development Area’s rapid response team is coordinating with the employer and affected employees.
According to the Fox 17 news report, the workers are stating that they have been laid off without any pay and without the required notice. Some workers are reportedly exploring legal action, citing a lack of notice required under the federal WARN Act.
About the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Program at Amazon
Pave it Forward Logistics was a part of the Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program. This initiative was launched in 2018, which allows entrepreneurs to establish and run their own package delivery business with the assistance of the company.
Within this model, small businesses that are independently owned deal with last-mile delivery activities, including recruiting drivers and day-to-day logistics.
The DSP owners are independent contractors, not employees of Amazon, but have access to several resources, such as delivery technology, route optimization systems, training, and operational support.
Since its introduction, the program has benefited many small business owners and created driving jobs. The company has also invested more than $12.3 billion in rate card increases, safety programs, and value-added services for DSPs and their drivers.
The permanent shutdown of Pave it Forward Logistics has resulted in legal and financial issues for the affected employees. The incident has attracted attention to the necessity of providing equal treatment in closure and layoff cases.
