The team behind For All Things Good, a popular Mexican cafe with two outposts in Brooklyn, is opening a new Italian concept soon.

The new concept, Bar Birba, will be an Italian aperitivi bar and restaurant, which will be located at 340 Franklin Avenue in Bed-Stuy across the street from the flagship of For All Things Good. Matt Diaz and Carlos Macías debuted their first concept in July 2020 and garnered a loyal fanbase, allowing them to open a second outpost in Williamsburg. The kitchen of Bar Birba will be helmed by chef Aminu Tedla who has worked at pizza spots in Brooklyn, including Lucali, Baby Luc’s, and Speedy Romeo.

The menu is slated to offer “slow food, a small pizza program, bites, and natural wines from Italy,” Diaz told Eater.

He also said its ingredients will be sourced from produce suppliers like Natoora, a local farm, as well as specialty ingredients from Italy.

The restaurant will start out with nightly service, however,it eventually hopes to add brunch. The small space is slated to seat 22 people.
