A new all-day concept is coming to the East Village, serving coffee and lunch by day before transforming into a restaurant by night.
Bobblehead will open at 103-105 Avenue B, between E. 6th and E. 7th streets, according to business filings.
The eatery will feature a main dining room, two bars and a garden-style outdoor space in the back.
Curated vinyl will fill the space as guests sip cocktails and enjoy New American fare.
The cafe menu pairs sweet and savory pastries with a “Basque Breakfast” sandwich on sourdough, topped with heirloom tomatoes, red pepper pesto and a poached egg, alongside yogurt and granola.
Dinner offerings will include Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as beef carpaccio, tuna tartare tostadas, a Treviso salad with burrata, Peruvian chicken, skewers and lemon-pepper fries with mint aioli.
Cocktails round out the menu, with highlights including the “Cupid Deluxe” with Scotch, blood orange amaro and bitters; the “Ibsen” with gin, dill aquavit and dry vermouth; and the “Ultima Picante” with mezcal, Luxardo, Forthave Green, lime and jalapeño.
Bobblehead will rely primarily on reservations and controlled guest flow to minimize lines and crowding outside.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Once open, Bobblehead’s restaurant will be open Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. The rear outdoor garden will operate daily from noon to 10 p.m., while the cafe will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
