Delaware, get ready for a taste of the Great North. Local franchisee Kashif Mushtaq is bringing Tim Hortons, Canada’s favorite donut shop, to Dover later this year, reports local media outlet Delaware Online.
The eatery will be breathing new life into 737 N. DuPont Boulevard, a space that has sat vacant since the Speedway Cafe closed in 2023. In order to properly house Tim Hortons, the building will need to undergo relatively thorough renovations. Upgrades include the addition of a double-lane drive thru and a new interior dining room.
A precise opening date is not yet available, however Dover locals can look forward to enjoying a fresh donut when the weather turns warmer-Mushtaq projects a summer opening.
Mushtaq is extremely optimistic about the geographic possibilities of the new location. He explains to Delaware Live: “We think it will be a great service for the high morning traffic in the area. Tim Hortons truly offers a premium product line, from better coffee to higher quality donuts, and I believe the residents of Dover will really enjoy it.”
Tim Hortons has been satisfying customers since its entrance into the dining scene in Hamilton, Canada in 1964. The chain, fueled by delicious donuts, coffee, and sandwiches, has expanded to include more than 5,833 locations globally.
DELAWARE will need a tim Hortons in camden delaware too. I am so excited for the Dover location this summer but really would love another one e closer to home in Camden Delaware.
