Portillo’s, a fast-casual restaurant known for its unrivaled Chicago-style street food menu, announced plans to open a new location in Chandler, Arizona.

This will be the ninth location in the state and the eighth in the Phoenix area, according to a press release. The new Portillo’s restaurant will be located in a center near the corner of Ray Rd and 1-10. Designed as the brand’s new “Restaurant of the Future” build, the 6,250 square-foot Portillo’s restaurant will feature seating for 160 guests, as well as a double drive thru-lane, Portillo’s Pick-Up shelves and Grab and Go area to accommodate off-premise guests. The new location will open sometime in 2025.

“Phoenix has been a great, welcoming market for Portillo’s as we continue our expansion in Arizona,” Portillo’s CEO, Michael Osanloo, said in a press release. “We’ve loved serving the Phoenix community our unrivaled Chicago street food, and we’re excited to provide even greater convenience to our guests in the Grand Canyon State with this newest restaurant in Chandler.”

When the new restaurant opens next year, guests can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items, such as Chicago-style hot Dogs, Famous Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers, and Portillo’s Famous Chocolate Cake. Portillo’s will soon begin hiring managers and shift leaders. The chain offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, flexible schedules, growth opportunities, an employee stock purchase plan, and more.
