A long-anticipated nightlife concept is inching closer to opening in downtown Sacramento.
Evolution Nightclub is preparing to take over the former Chando’s Cantina space at 805 15th St, according to a recent social media update from the Sacramento County Environmental Management Department. Owner Laura Gonzalez told What Now Sacramento that additional details are expected to be shared next week.
While specifics remain under wraps for now, the Sacramento Business Journal previously reported that the 7,816-square-foot venue will serve as a multifaceted destination—part sports bar, part live music venue, and part nightclub.
Notably, Gonzalez already operates an Evolution Nightclub location in Sunnyvale, which is known for its casual, high-energy atmosphere, live performances, and classic lineup of beer, wine, and cocktails.
The venue brands itself as “el mejor lugar Latino en San Francisco y próximamente Sacramento,” positioning the nightclub as a vibrant hub for Latin music and nightlife. Sacramento guests can expect a similar blend of entertainment and energy.
An official opening date has not yet been announced, but online activity hints at a potential summer 2026 debut. Keep an eye out for updates as the concept comes into focus in the weeks ahead.
