Just a few weeks after announcing plans for a third location, Buddha Bowls & Rolls‘ mystery address has been uncovered.
The build-your-own Asian-American concept recently shared a “coming soon” teaser, blurring out the storefront in a video. But locals in the comments were quick to connect the dots, pointing to the former Chando’s Tacos space at 5644 J St in East Sacramento.
One user wrote, “The old chandos!!! I catch the bus across the street when I pick my son up from school. Will be seeing you for sure!”
That sleuthing appears to check out. A LoopNet listing for the address—advertising 1,250 to 2,604 square feet of retail space along the sought-after East Sacramento corridor—features a superimposed “coming soon” sign for the upcoming Buddha Bowls & Rolls storefront.
The fast-growing eatery comes from Nai Saeteurn and Justin Fong of Full Tilt Hospitality. Since debuting its first location in downtown Sacramento in April 2024, the brand has steadily built momentum, followed by a second outpost inside the California Natural Resources Building.
Buddha Bowls & Rolls is known for its made-to-order, fully customizable spring rolls, rice and noodle bowls, and handheld bites, alongside drinks like sugarcane juice and Vietnamese coffee, plus a selection of sweet treats.
