A new concept appears to be in the works for downtown Truckee.

A recent filing with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control reveals that Dustin Hurley and Ezekiel Straw are pursuing an alcohol license for a restaurant called Truckee Prime. The eatery would be located within The Rock shopping center at 11197 Brockway Rd, Suites D1–D4.

That address is the previous home of FiftyFifty Brewing Company, which relocated to the Old Lumberyard earlier this year. The move opened up a sizable, brewery-ready space, suggesting that the new concept could also incorporate brewing operations.

Although Hurley told What Now Sacramento that more information is expected to be shared in about four months, his background further hints at that possibility. He owns Truckee Brewing Company, which operates a brewery and taproom on Pioneer Trail, along with a restaurant outpost on Soaring Way.

Specifics about Truckee Prime remain under wraps for now, but a connection to the brewery seems likely. If so, guests can expect a lineup of approachable, locally inspired craft beers, potentially including familiar pours like the Little Truckee IPA and Truckaté, the brand’s Mexican-style lager.

Food details have not yet been announced. However, Truckee Brewing Company’s current menu leans into casual comfort staples like pizzas, burgers, and tacos.

Stay tuned as more details come into focus in the months ahead.
