Grand Gas is taking over the former Sinclair Dino Mart site at 3405 Coach Ln in Cameron Park, after AS Convenience and Energy Inc acquired the liquor license for the location, according to filings with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The move is being led by Arash Salkhi, a Northern and Central California fuel retailer who confirmed to What Now Sacramento that the location will carry his own brand. What is changing is the brand on the sign, and likely what customers find inside.
Grand Gas already operates in several Bay Area cities, including Oakland, Pinole, Pleasant Hill and San Jose, often paired with a full mini mart. Locations in Santa Ana and Pomona run under the same combined format, offering snacks, drinks and essentials alongside the pumps.
“We are growing our footprint and bringing competitive pricing to the local customers,” Salkhi told What Now.
Cameron Park sits along Highway 50, a busy route that connects Sacramento to the Sierra foothills. Fuel and retail brands along this stretch tend to change often, so a new look at this corner would not be unusual. Neighbors along Coach Lane should notice the change quickly, since the site is easy to see from the highway.
