Besitos Café is the latest San Antonio restaurant to announce its closure. During its nearly eight months in business, the café served Mexican dishes, desserts, and specialty drinks.

Besitos Café to Close Amid Declining Traffic

The café, located at 1123 Nogalitos Ste 1, San Antonio, announced its permanent closure through social media post. Customers shared memories and messages of support in the comments. Some recalled its Mazapan coffee, while others simply remembered their time at the cozy spot.

The café had originally opened on November 1, 2025, the owners said declining customer traffic over the past several months led to the decision to close.

“This decision was not an easy one. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every customer, friend, family member, and supporter who walked through our doors. Whether you stopped by for your morning coffee, breakfast, or simply to spend time with us, you became part of our story.”

According to its website, the café drew inspiration from Día de los Muertos traditions, featuring locally created murals throughout the space. The founders focused to offer a mix of culture, cariño, and community.

“Besitos Cafe was built with love, family, culture, and community. We created a place where memories were made, conversations were shared, and strangers became friends. We will forever be grateful for every smile, every kind word, every shared post, and every person who chose to support our dream.”

In its announcement, the café described the decision as difficult and thanked customers, family, friends, and supporters for their continued support. The owners also hinted at the beginning of something new without sharing many details.

Besitos Café is set to serve the San Antonio community for the final time on Sunday, July 12.

As the café prepares to depart, the San Antonio community can visit the spot for the last few days before the final farewell.
