Plato’s Closet to open a new location in North San Antonio, according to recent project filings. The resale fashion retailer is set to occupy a retail space at 25219 US 281, Suite 108, where a full interior finish-out project is planned.

The retail store is a resale clothing shop that buys and sells gently used, trendy fashion aimed mainly at teens and young adults. Customers bring in secondhand clothes, and the store either pays them cash or offers store credit, then resells the items at discounted prices, making it a popular option for affordable, brand-name and fast-fashion styles.

The scope of work includes adding a new restroom and break room, along with updates to electrical systems and HVAC installation. The project is estimated to cost approximately $200,000 and is classified as a renovation and alteration of an existing retail building.

Construction is scheduled to begin on June 8, 2026, with completion expected by December 16, 2026.

Project of documents list AG 281 RE Holdings LLC as the property owner, based in Austin. The filing contact for the project is Jaime Jimenez. The tenant also listed is Richard Delgadillo.

While an official opening timeline for Plato’s Closet location has not yet been announced, the project marks another expansion for the resale retail chain in the San Antonio market.
