Urban Outfitters is preparing to expand its presence in San Antonio with a new location planned for North Star Shopping Center, according to recently filed project documents with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The retailer is slated to open at 7400 San Pedro Avenue, Suite 1552, within North Star Shopping Center. Project filings indicate that the upcoming store will occupy an 8,806-square-foot interior mall space.

Founded in 1970, Urban Outfitters is a lifestyle retail brand known for its curated selection of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, footwear, beauty products, home décor, and gifts. The company operates stores across North America and Europe and has built a strong following among young adults through its blend of fashion, vintage-inspired products, and contemporary lifestyle merchandise.

According to project documents, the San Antonio location will involve a complete tenant fit-out of an existing retail space. Planned improvements include new walls, fixtures, storefront elements, lighting, mechanical systems, and other interior upgrades designed to accommodate the brand’s retail concept.

Construction is expected to begin on August 3, 2026, and reach completion by November 9, 2026. The renovation carries an estimated cost of $916,731 and is privately funded.

Located in one of San Antonio’s most established shopping destinations, the new Urban Outfitters store is expected to strengthen the retail offerings at North Star Shopping Center and provide shoppers with another fashion and lifestyle destination.

What Now San Antonio reached out for comment regarding the upcoming location, but did not receive a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated if additional information becomes available.
