Bed Bath & Beyond is preparing to return to the Seattle area with two new locations inside existing The Container Store stores.
According to a statement from the company, the first Washington locations are planned for Bellevue, at 700 Bellevue Way NE, Suite 120, and Tukwila, at 2437 Southcenter Mall, as part of the brand’s nationwide retail expansion.
The two stores are among the first 22 markets selected for the company’s new Bed Bath & Beyond + The Container Store format, introducing Bed Bath & Beyond products inside existing The Container Store locations. An opening date for the Washington stores has not yet been announced.
The new concept brings together Bed Bath & Beyond’s assortment of bedding, bath products, kitchenware, home décor, and everyday household essentials with The Container Store’s organization products, custom storage solutions, and home services.
Each location will tailor its product mix and services to better reflect the needs of the surrounding community.
Founded in 1971, Bed Bath & Beyond grew into one of the country’s largest home goods retailers before shifting its focus to e-commerce following its 2023 bankruptcy. Today, the brand is owned by Beyond, Inc., which has been expanding its physical retail presence through the new partnership with The Container Store.
What Now Seattle reached out to Bed Bath & Beyond and this article will be updated as more information becomes available.
