A Maryland restaurant is planning to truly claim 2026 as its own by opening a new location before the year is out. Angelo’s Pizza Pasta and Deli intends to add an Olney storefront to its growing roster in the coming months, reports local media outlet MoCo Show.
Angelo’s is already developing one new location in Gaithersburg, also aiming for a late 2026 opening. The Italian concept will be making its Olney entrance at 5500 Olney Laytonsville Road, in the space that previously housed Rock Creek Tavern.
Angelo’s will be offering Olney diners the full restaurant experience; the concept will feature a full Italian dine-in option, complete with a bar. The eatery will also be serving up pizza by the slice and offering beer and wine carryout options.
A precise opening date is not yet available for Angelo’s upcoming Olney space, however ownership does anticipate being ready to greet customers towards the end of this year.
Angelo’s is already a Rockville hit, “known for its authentic flavors and generous portions”. The restaurant has expansion on the mind, and the Olney location will be a strong salvo in that direction.
