An exciting new Thai restaurant is currently making plans to take over the former Pam Real Thai restaurant in Midtown.
Lum Lum is a brand new Thai restaurant moving into the space at 404 West 49th Street. Owned by Mowarin Hensa Wang and Nop Shusang, the owners will be operating under the corporate name Heyday 68 LLC.
Prior to opening Lum Lum, Mowarin and Nop previously operated Pro Thai Restaurant on Lexington Avenue and Lantern Thai Kitchen on Montague Street in Brooklyn. With over twenty years of combined restaurant and food service experience, the pair have been warming the hearts of new Yorkers with the flavors and aromas of freshly made Thai food for years.
Lum Lum is expected to serve a unique selection of small plates and entrées inspired by the diverse flavor profiles of Thailand. Offering up small plates like Oysters, Beef Yum, and Grilled Cuttlefish alongside Kauy Teaw noodle dishes and Pad Thai, Lum Lum will also serve bigger plates like curries, steaks, omelets, and squid ink fried rice. Lum Lum is also in the process of applying for a liquor license, and is hoping to sere authentic Thai cocktails in a relaxing yet invigorating environment.
Moving into the space at 404 West 49th Street, Lum Lum will be replacing Pam Real Thai, a popular Thai restaurant that operated at the space for nearly two decades before shutting down in response to the global pandemic. Capable of seating up to 70 guests at one time, Lum Lum is expected to have an outdoor sidewalk café available for guests in addition to a stand-up bar inside the restaurant.
