Ice cream shop and catering company Creamery is expanding to a fifth location in Lombard, located at 506 W. St. Charles Pl.

The new location will replace Kyle’s Corner Grill at an unknown date. The Daily Herald first reported the new Creamery will feature the same menu as its other locations in Homer Glen, New Lenox, Manhattan, and Lemont, except for The Original Rainbow Cone. However, customers in DuPage County can expect take-home kits for sundaes, hot chocolate (a favorite during the pandemic), and a new specialty hot dog concept, which will be a new addition to the menu.

The Chicago-based company was founded in 1981 by the Sisk family, who continues to operate it today. The family first opened the ice cream shop in South Chicago before expanding into Will County with three new locations. Then, last year, the company expanded into Cook County in April. The new Lombard location will also feature Creamery’s “blaster pies,” ice cream sandwich “flights,” and their line of specialty cakes and rolls.

“The previous owner has relocated out of state,” Creamery social media manager Victoria E. Sisk told The Daily Herald. “Once the location opened up, we jumped on it. There is actually not a lot of work to be done for this new location. The only thing we are waiting on is to craft a really strong team. That way, we’ll really be ready to go once we open our doors.”
