Firewater BBQ, the award-winning BBQ restaurant found throughout Chicagoland, is opening a new location in Lake Zurich at 95 S Rand Rd.

The company’s fifth location will move into the upcoming Lakeview Plaza, which is undergoing redevelopment under new ownership. Managing broker Stephanie Sirota tells What Now Chicago the plaza has been bought by an investment group with a long history of revitalizing retail strip centers. So far, five new leases have been entered, one of which is Firewater BBQ. Owner Matt Weil tells What Now Chicago he is also opening new locations in Alsip and Channahon in early 2023.

As for the upcoming Lakeview Plaza location, the company expects to open in early Spring 2023, according to Sirota. The owners have been working closely with the Village of Lake Zurich, ensuring the project’s opening date stays on target. Additionally, ownership has hired St. Charles Architect, Pat Marzullo, to redesign the building façade and make it a pillar of the Lake Zurich retail community. Customers can expect a mix of signature styles of rough-cut cedar wood, antique lighting, and backwood decor, according to Weil.

The new Firewater BBQ will be a perfect addition to the shopping center. When the new location opens next year, customers can expect mouth-watering BBQ classics such as Angus beef brisket, pulled pork, BBQ rib tips, and all the house-made sides you will find at a backyard BBQ. Those who don’t want to wait until this new location opens can visit one of their other locations in Crest Hill, Downtown Geneva, Elmhurst, and Lombard.
