The national taqueria-style fast food restaurant Chipotle is getting ready to open a new location in Yorkville at 444 E. Veterans Parkway.

The company’s newest location is expected to move into the former home of Fifth Third Band, according to Shaw Local. Construction has been moving rapidly, recently completing the building structure’s shell and parking lot. With almost no obstacles in the way, this location is expected to open as early as January 2023, although no official opening date has been released. The new 2,600-square-foot restaurant will have a pickup window for mobile orders and an indoor/ outdoor patio.

This will be the company’s first location in Yorkville, with the next closest site being in Oswego/ Boulder Hill. The expansion comes after another successful third quarter. The company’s year-over-year highlights include a 13.7% increase in total revenue. This year alone, Chipotle opened 43 new restaurants, with 38 of them including a Chipotlane. Within Chicagoland, the company opened a new location in Batavia.

“Our performance in the third quarter confirms our brand and value proposition remain strong, even during a challenging economic environment,” Brian Niccol, Chairman and CEO, said in a press release. “With consumer discretionary spending tightening, we are focused on running great restaurants and delivering excellent customer and employee experiences.”
