Simba Coffee Company has signed the lease for the space at 300 N Ortonville Rd earlier this month. Founder Simba Mujuru told What Now Detriot that he is only waiting on final approval from the Health Department and anticipates opening the coffee shop within three to four weeks.

This will be Simba’s first brick-and-mortar location in Ortonville to bring its speciality African coffee to the neighbourhood. Locals will finally have the opportunity to taste Simba’s flavorful coffee in person. Based in Waterford Township, Simba Coffee Company carries beans and blends sourced directly from African farmers, strongly committed to empowering African communities.

“African coffee is at the heart of our business. We celebrate its unique flavors and rich heritage, coming from the tropical landscapes of Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Our commitment to African coffee goes beyond just sourcing beans; it’s about elevating the entire coffee production experience,” states the business on its website.
