Garnette and Miranda Roberts, the franchisees opening a Ziggi’s in Dexter, are also working on another Ziggi’s Coffee in their hometown, Pittsfield Township, at 5875 W. Michigan Ave. Site plans and permit applications were submitted to the Pittsfield Charter Township in late October and are currently marked as under review on the township’s website.

According to the submittal, the franchisees propose to construct a new 1,075-square-foot coffee shop. The building will feature a drive-through, a 210-square-foot quick service area for pickup orders with 6 seats for waiting, and an attached patio for outdoor dining.

Ziggi’s Coffee, a Colorado-based coffee chain, currently has over 85 operating locations with more than 250 in the development pipeline across 30+ states, according to the company’s website. The brand’s menu features a wide variety of beverages, including specialty espresso drinks, blenders, chais and teas, Italian sodas, energy infusions, and fruit smoothies. The menu also has a small food menu consisting of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, scones, breads, and cookies.

What Now Detroit reached out to the franchisees but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
