Music, African cuisine and more are headed to Bucktown with a new restaurant and lounge in the works.

The Origin Restaurant and Lounge is under construction now on W. Armitage Avenue, Block Club Chicago reports. The space will include a bar and VIP area. The menu will feature Nigerian favorites, as well as creations from rotating chefs spotlighting a diverse array of cuisine.

The restaurant will be where “bold African flavors meet modern comfort, connection, and unforgettable moments,” according to the website.

The concept comes from Chidi Durugo, who owns a specialty grocery store called Afor African Market in Irvington, New Jersey. He also operates an existing location of The Origin Restaurant and Lounge in Irvington.

Now, the concept is branching out to Chicago. The business is expected to open this spring. They recently announced on social media that they are currently seeking a general manager, servers, bartenders and hosts to work at the restaurant.
