A restaurant with both American and European cuisine options is under construction in Northwest Chicagoland.

According to the Village of Schaumburg, Hopscotch at 40 S Roselle Road is expected to open late this summer. It will also be a bar and party entertainment venue, with two floors. On their Facebook page, the business recently announced they were looking for food and beverage vendors.

“With a focus on local talent and engaging entertainment, Hopscotch is designed to be a welcoming space for all generations,” said the description on their Facebook page.

This area of Schaumburg the venue is going in has other restaurants in the Town Square area such as Walker Bros. Original Pancake House, Bonefish Grill, Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store and Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria. It is also near Woodfield Mall which features many restaurants.

Members of the community began noticing the building going up three months ago, with rumors of a new restaurant on various Facebook pages. The business confirmed the rumors when they set up their website with the description, “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!” No menu has been announced as of yet, but a bar menu may be coming soon.
